14世紀中頃に北フランスで制作されたヴェラム（羊皮紙）写本を複製。宮廷風恋愛をアレゴリー手法で描きだした薔薇物語の二万一千余行にのぼる韻文の内、約三分の二を収録している。英文・和文の解題を付す。
